Will do!
I think it's awful what's happened there. My mother and I are going to be adopting a family's finances over there, see what we can do to help out.

So many lives have been displaced and Japan's given the world so much. We really should give back.

Boomerang birds are so useless! There's this one level I'm stuck on that has just those (Danger Above, 6-12) and it's driving me nuts...

And no problem! It's so cute I just can't help but mess around with it. Haha.

Yeah, admitting to rivalries is something you'd see on PostSecret, like "I'm secretly in competition with my friends on _____ but they'll never know" but I decided to write about it anyway.

I love lists! Maybe I should try that out too.

I'll spill your coffee with a British accent! Haha.

What were you doing in the new mom section? Hahaha.
That book has been on my Amazon wishlist for a good while now, maybe I should cave and get it. I keep going back and forth from being happy to being frustrated, so it's probably a good idea.

Shall do on the glasses!

This is an interesting post, and it caught my attention, because I think it's slightly controversial - most people are uncomfortable about broadcasting rivalries, as we're generally told to play nice (particularly girls). And personally, I'll admit to finding rivalry as motivation uncomfortable as well, especially between friends, as I genuinely believe that the core tenet of friendship is support - so I really dislike any sign of competition with those I love, or conveying anything but authentic happiness for friends'/relatives' success, even if I feel the occasional twinge of envy.

At the moment, I'm motivating myself by making lists. Lots of them. Issues I'm interested in and want to be aggressively involved with some day (education reform, sustainability issues, etc), current and future projects, and comically simple 1-yr, 5-yr, 10-yr plans. Sometimes, it can be a little depressing to look so far ahead and see how much there is to cover and feel like it'll take forever to achieve, but for myself, I'm also forcing myself to reflect on past benchmarks and progress as well. And another great motivator (although I haven't actually done this yet) is broadcasting goals to friends and family, forcing them to hold you accountable for them! Yup, giving others work.

But you know what, competition isn't half bad to get one going. I'd sign up for that Brit-speaking nemesis... in a heartbeat!! (Can he be devilishly attractive too?)

Hey! I was motivated to reply to this entry, because I've been feeling -the same way-! Getting down on myself about every little thing, exhaustion to the point of passing out every day after work, etc. And usually when that happens, I enjoy a nice downwards spiral of negativity, over-thinking and horrible angst - but reading your entry is nice; it's a much-needed simple and pleasant reminder of thinking positively (however forced it sometimes feels) :) and I think I might even make my own list of "things to look forward to" before bed.

Another positive thinking book I'd suggest for you is "The Bounce Back Book" by Karen Salmansohn, which is small, cute, bright red, beautifully designed inside (just flipping through it is cheery!) and has the benefit of rubber covers! I got mine at Target (...at the new mommy section I believe), but you can probably find it online.

You should post pictures of those new pink glasses too :)
